Every Act of Kindness is Charity

-The poor require something more than money. They want intelligent sympathy; they want moral help, which no money can buy; they want to be treated as human brothers, and not as creatures of another race, and as dirt under our feet.

To give these things to the poor requires a larger heart, a broader mind, and more personal sacrifice, than most rich people are prepared to give. Yet we shall never be able to relieve the poor in any real way until we can give them our hearts as well as our money.

Finally, the chief duty of the rich is to so reorganize society that no man need be poor if he is industrious, sober and honest. This is a very difficult and complicated problem, which cannot be solved by any simple measures; but if a nation as a whole is resolved to abolish all poverty that is not due to individual vice and idleness, it will be able to find a way.🌟✌❤

If Giving Money Directly To Poor People Works Best, Then What Are Non-Profits Organizations to Do?

People in poverty lack money. It seems obvious that the best way to end their poverty is to give them money. Increasingly, studies support this obvious approach to reducing poverty. Yet the vast majority of poverty-reduction organizations and agencies offer goods and services, not cash. What is the impact on nonprofits of giving cash to poor people?

Why We Don't Give Cash To Poor People?

Individually and collectively, we avoid direct payments to those in poverty for several reasons:

• We believe that people will waste the money on frivolous purchases.
• We believe that people will use the money to pursue vices such as smoking, drinking, gambling or prostitution.
• Our tools don’t measure the impact of direct cash transfers.
•  Our donors want their money to pay for goods and services in which they believe, not direct cash transfers.

The truth is, these reasons are mainly opinions. If we’re truly interested in making an impact, we should be willing to question our existing methods and try new ones.

A lot of people want to help the poor people but it is not possible to give them cash all the time. Well, experts say that there are various other ways to help these people in which you won’t have to give direct cash to them. Keep reading to know more

Show Respect Towards Them
This might sound like a trivial thing to you but it isn’t a small thing to the people who are always mistreated by majority of people. Maximum of the time, these people are snubbed and shunned. So make sure that you are polite towards them.Be sympathetic and patient, even when you get frustrated.

Feed Those Who Are Hungry
Whenever you can afford you must try and feed the poor and hungry people. You don’t need to buy expensive food items but you can buy some biscuits, breads and snacks for them every now and then.

Raise Awareness through blogs and articles
If you feel that you have a way with words then it is a good idea to use your abilities to raise awareness about helping these poor people. In A lot of countries many bloggers have managed to help numerous homeless people by creating awareness about them.

Give Away Your Old clothes
Poor people as they do not generally have enough clothes to protect themselves from the weather. Therefore it would be great if you can give away your old clothes to them. Respect their dignity and give them clean and wearable clothes.
